My AO3 account

1 min read

Hi!

As promised, here's link to my account in Archive of Our Own:

https://archiveofourown.org/users/The_Golden_Wolf/pseuds/The_Golden_Wolf

Reason for the username is simply because Link's White Wolf looks more of golden than white for me. ^^;

Not yet stories but there will be soon! =D Keep eye on the page since I'm not certain if I end up informing of my uploading stories in here. ^^;

See you until then! Bye!

Important stuff

4 min read

Hi!

First of all, I'm gonna leave DeviantArt. At least, more or less. I'm going to try and get myself an account to Archive Of Our Own. I won't remove a thing from here nor from Fanfiction(dot)net page. I'm probably going re-read my stuff and re-upload them with time once I get an account to A3O. I will come here now and then for pictures and maybe to upload a story or few. I do follow some comics here in dA but I've never been good at commenting which I'm really sorry about. I did try and stick around here but... Dunno, just can't. =/

The reasons I was gone for so long are numerous. First of all, real life. >.< Second of all, a friend of mine dropped off before me and haven't come back since. This was pretty much one of the very few ways we were in contact and, well, haven't heard of her for six years or so. T.T Didn't have much of reasons to be around after that since I'm bad at keeping contacts. >.< Sorry. Third of all was dA's changes. Didn't feel comfortable with them back then and I needed to get myself distanced from it all to regain understanding of the new outlook. Though, I still go by the old "dinosaur" version of sorts. XD Anyways, I'll be popping up in here from time to time. Best way to catch my notion in here would be either through notes or by reading and reviewing on my stories. ^^;

No, for other things:

I saw the movie Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom today. :squee: And as can guess, it was much better than I waited of it. :la: Even though it was normal good versus evil stuff with cool fight scenes, it actually had some real plot and meaning too. =) Yet, that's not what I'm here to talk about. XD The thing that I want to point out is:

The movie had Legend of Zelda vibes! :squee:

By that I mean few specific things that caught my Zelda games fan's notion. Sure, none of them were named from Zelda games, obviously, but there were too much similarity to not notice them! So, I'll be putting this in the line of by game which I recongized the beings being from. ;)

A Link To The Past: Zora. That speficic one that gives you the flippers for swimming and diving? Yeah, king of pirate area in the movie. =D

Ocarina of Time:

Peahat. Those monsters are like, what, one or two in the game and you can actually miss them if you don't either explorate all around the Hyrule Field as a kid or know of them being there. Anyways, that monster came into my mind the second those mechanical things went airborn. =D

Deku Baba. The plant wasn't looking like the ones in the game except from coloration.... And wanting to eat living things. ^^;

Breath of the Wild (/ Tears of the Kingdom?): Zoras. I haven't yet played TotK much so I'm not entirely certain of its part. ^^; Anyways, there's two parts for this: Mechanical sharks that straight off brought Sidon into my mind. And couple of merpeople of the pirate area that reminded me of the old Zora scientist that liked Link the least. XD

I know I was quite vague with things but I don't want to give spoilers in here. =) Go and watch the movie! I'm sure you'll spot what I've seen. ;) Oh, and if you notice some other Zelda themed stuff in here, do let me know! :aww:

I will inform once I get my account to Archive Of Our Own! And I'll give the link to there too! Hopefully someone will get interested of checking things at then! :aww:

Thank You all for everything! Sorry for leaving but I think I gotta try and restart somehow. ^^; Hopefully I'll get to see you in there. I'll be allowing anonymous reviews so let me know if you're coming from here dA! See ya! :aww:

By one word: AWESOME! :squee:

For anyone who hasn't started to play it, this'll be bit spoilery so I suggest to check this at later time. ^^; And for those whom have started it and gone through first several shrines, keep on reading. ;)

So, yeah, starting off with eary situation and even more eary music. *shiver* And Link's got all hearts there. =D Gotta say I was first intrigued and then bit scared as well as confused. Yet, I hope the game will give answers the further I get since right now I can't place the given info into the already known history of Hyrule. =/

Yet, there are few things that bring me down to Ocarina of Time. ^^; Mainly the outlook of Ganondorf. Secondly him knowing Zelda and Link. And lastly the name Rauru for the god / alien being.

I like how things are continued from Breath of the Wild. =) Bringing already known people forth and with others knowing Link. :aww: Considering this, I gotta say that Purah calling Link as Linky made me laugh! XD I really needed that after all that had gone so far! The sky island was, luckily, not as hard as I first thought now that I think about it. =) In overall I think I died only three times so far. XD Twice by drowning and once by cold. ^^; Both drownings by miscalculation. -.-'

Loved to take the wing of the ancient tech and glide down from the snowy area of the third shrine. Saved before takeoff because I feared it to just plummeting down. XD Yet, this also brought one of the drownings since I failed to realize the speed of the thing and ended up further into the water than I waited for. -.-'

Failed to get the first Korok to its friend since I didn't realize to pick it up with the hand magic. ^^; And third, at Hyrule itself, I kinda failed to catch the raft I created and it just kept going further down so, um, yeah, I'll fetch that Korok someday. XD

Avoided pretty much all fights so far in Hyrule Field as I searched for Zelda and got to the Outpost area. Aaand, of course, there's the first red moon on the first night at there. Freaky! *shiver* So, I guess, it only brought back the mechanical enemies at the sky area so far. Luckily.

So far I'm inside the Shrine by the Outpost area before the castle. A battle one, no fun. But, at least it'll be a travel point for now. =) Been marking shrines and couple of places of interest. Yet, I'm hoping I'll have better weapons and gear / outfit before I get into actual fights and whatnot.... And yet, I'm asked to go back down into the castle's area already. -.-' Seriously! Can't Link get some actual good weapons and whatnot before venturing off into deadly places!?! O.o *sigh* I guess that's just the Hero's / swordman's daily job there. ^^;

Oh, first 20 rupees by helping the guy to keep the sign up. =) Along with few other good things from the guy. Glad to be in bit safer point at the moment in the game.

One of the funniest things in the game is Rauru's title of The Source of the Right Hand. XD Seriously, sure that's true but doesn't the guy have better title than that? ^.- Nonetheless, that's one good way to lift the mood. ;)

The thing I feared the most in the game before starting was creating things. ^^; I was worried I can't get anything worthy done or that it'll be hard. Yet, I should've known things will be taught well enough in the game. =) Sure, so far I've done simple things but maybe I can figure out something harder with time.

Oh, and the fourth shrine at the sky island... I had travled by the Purah Slate to the awakening place and though to just dash out and search for it from the outside. Yet, luckily, the moving gears and higher ledge caught my interest. Went to check and for once the curiosity didn't kill this cat. =D Beginners luck, I guess. ^^;

The game is seriously awesome and can't wait to really explore it. :squee: I just gotta stock up on weapons at least. I'll be checking the castle and hope I won't end up dying there. ^^; Yet, next on line after that is the shrines around the field and the stable area I saw. As well as the high towers that I'm assuming to be the Sheikah Towers from Breath of the Wild... But, those doesn't look to be in the best of condition at the moment, at least not from what I've seen from far. Haven't yet gotten close to them. =/

Yeah, anyways, that's my first round with the game. Eager to continue the moment I get a chance! :squee:

I'm back!

3 min read

Hi!

It's been way too long since I've been doing a thing at here or at Fanfiction.net page. ^^; I just uploaded the newest chapter for Situations from their lives to ff.net page. Can't yet upload the link to it since it takes about half an hour before it's out in sight. -.-' Anyways, let's get down to reasons for having taken about six damn years before uploading a thing........

Okay, lot has happened during the last years. One of them is, obviously, dA's changes. Wasn't too happy back then but wasn't willing to really leave either. Mainly because of the friends I made here..... Whom are prolly all gone by now.... :cries: Yet, if there's someone still around, I would LOVE to hear of you again!!

Then, another big reason for having been gone is the loss of a muse. Yeah, :iconcarrie-j: was my main RP friend for long while. She also influenced my stories quite a much. And not least is her version of Dark Link that's my Link's and Darky's oldest brother. The trio's adopted but yeah, they're close and all. =) But, haven't heard of carrie-j / Swamp Dragon Princess (that's her username in Fanfiction.net page) / SDP since the December of 2017. :cries: If anyone knows a thing about her, I'd be happy to know how she's doing. If you don't want to tell to me, then, please, at least let her know I'm still here and hoping to get back to talking with her.

So, yeah, lost muse means for writer's block of sorts. =/ Haven't done much of writing for seriously long while. =( Yet, getting back to that. Considering that, I had totally forgotten that I had actually written one story to end. XD Thing is that I write by both laptop and main computer. I knew I had written the Graps of the white death to end but I had entirely forgotten to have also written Fight to win, win to live to end, which I will be uploading if now during this week, then soon. =)

Then, there's both bad and good like funeral and wedding. =/ Not going further into that one but yeah, emotional stuff.....

Then there's both school (own choice out of interest and slight need) and work. Those take lot of time and energy. -.-'

Anyways, keep eye on my ff.net page since I'm going to upload most of my stories to there. This'll be more of chatting and one shots of sorts. And hopefully, I'll get the 100 poems done eventually too. I used to have SDP pick the next number which is partly the reason its unfinished. =(

So, um, yeah..... I guess taht's kinda all. =) Don't hesitate to say hi! OH! And if anyone's up for an RP, I'd love for that after a long while. ^.^ Though, I'm only for Legend of Zelda on that, sorry. ^^; OH! And I have the newest Zelda game but haven't yet gotten to playing. ^^; So, um, that might take me off now and then..... Just as a heads-up. =)

OH! And it finally updated!! Here's the link to my newest story, which is third and last part of the said story: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10038062/22/Situations-from-their-lives

So, um.... Don't be a stranger! =) Lets be in contact again! ^.^

First off, sorry to have been gone for so long. T.T I guess I just have been having writer’s block of sorts for quite a while considering fanfics (Zelda) while trying to work on original stories. Plus, for the month or so, I have been playing Super Mario 64 on Switch. ^^;

Super Mario 64 is a game I have played originally on Nintendo 64 so, of course, I remembered some of the places and things to do. Yet, I had no memory of how HARD some of the courses can be. -.-‘ I admit to have lost my temper several times while trying to handle some of the situations. Usually at then I’ve either gone to try some other place or just stopped playing for some time.

Anyways, I’m still far from finishing the game since the hardest parts start to be the last things to handle. ^^; I’ve gathered by now 109 stars out of 120. =) So, I’m going to share some of my “memorable” situations with Super Mario 64. They’re not in any of specific order but let’s start off.

Footrace with Koopa the Quick, surprise victory

This was easy for me since I remembered it from way too long ago when I played the game on Nintendo 64. Yet, as I needed to save my game much further through the gameplay I thought this would be quick and easy star to catch to save my progress… And I couldn’t have been more wrong. XD

I started off fast and certain of quick victory but, unfortunately, I failed on the slight bridge of sorts and fell. O.o I hadn’t waited for that and cursed as I ran back up and… Ended up hit by Chain Chomp. >.< And just as I was, oddly enough, catching and even getting past Koopa, I hit into one of those gigantic cannon balls. *rolls eyes* So, I had to catch him again and, while being certain I lost, I actually caught him and got past. I was quite overjoyed when I actually won. =D

Bomb-omb battlefield 100 coins, star in sky

Getting this should’ve been the easiest thing in the game for certain but nope. Not for me, at least. I thought I knew what I was doing as I gathered the coins from enemies, red coins and such while, idiotically, heading to the floating island with the cannon.

Since this was my first 100 coins star, I did not remember that the star will stay where you caught it. >.< And, while being a failure when it comes to flying, I just HAD to put the darn star into air. T.T Took quite a few tries before I managed to hit on it. ^^; I even thought about leaving the stage and redoing it but I was too stubborn for that.

Stand tall on the four pillars, failure and battle

This is three parted thing. The first situation came when, after hard work on getting Mario to all four pillars (3 easy, 1 hard), I managed to pop the top of the pyramid off. I waited for a star to be in there even though it wasn’t shown in the scene. Yet, as I was going to go off to check the area I just ended up into the freaking quicksand and there went my chance. -.-‘

Second try went better (after having failed more often than I want to count) and got to the popped off top to find a hole. Uncertain, I jumped down, found a slide… And failed to get to the end of it. >.<

Third time’s charm and I finally got the platform only to be taken so thoroughly off guard by a battle with two hands! O.O I was freaked out since I didn’t remember this situation and I desperately tried to stay on the damn platform while trying to kick at the hands. I was seriously relieved when I managed to kill the enemy during first try.

Tall Tall Mountain 100 coins, learn from mistakes

I admit that I have been using now and then help from walkthroughs when my own memory fails and I have no idea what the heck to do. So, first part was the odd wall thingy and then this. And, again, I made the mistake of gathering coins on the way to the slide of the odd wall part only to realize that if I go for it the god damn star will be in middle of the freaking slide! >.< So, instead of just leaving the stage, I jumped off into the fall simply for one reason: I didn’t want to go all the way up and it was easier and quicker to just throw Mario out of the painting and jump back in to redo the whole thing. ^^;

Stomp on the Thwomp, unexpected victory

I had lot of trouble with this one. When I got to the block of rock, I was still quite confident. Then I fell but luckily there was this area from where it was quite easy to get back. Then I failed and ended up falling again but unfortunately I fell all the way out of the painting. Next, after getting back to face my enemy, I was ready for long and failing attempts since so far all of my jumps had failed. Aaand I had been trying like few dozen times by now. So, I took a deep breath, got ready and went for it. And this is what happened:

Run, jump (got to the little vertical part between front and top), jump (on top of Thwomp), jump (on platform), jump (got the star).

And my reactions?

Wha..? ^.- The heck..? O.o No way! O.O Oh my god!! YES! Woohoo! Oh my god, I did it!

I barely was able to really realize that I had managed it eventually so easily. I just had bit of luck in timing and that was all I needed. =)

Bowser in Dark World red coins, three time run

This wasn’t fun at all. I thought it would be simple and easy to gather all eight coins but it was anything but. So, the thing is that I made my way all the way up and ended up with no more than 7 coins. I was seriously confused and paused the game… Only to see one coin right in the platform I started from. -.-‘

Sighing and hoping for the best, I made my way all the way back to the start, hit the button, ran and got the last red coin. I was worrying whole time about falling off. Yet, now I had a new problem. The freaking star was right off on top of the damn course. T.T

So, I had no other choice than to go through the course for the third time x.x Surprisingly, I managed and got the star.

Rematch with Koopa the Quick, push

I had to take this course few times before managing. First, without knowing the road, I had to let him win. =/ Next, I failed few times and once I even fell off. -.-‘ And so, with the last round, I figured it out and when I came to that last windy part I just let Koopa push me up. XD All I had to do was to run to the corner and claim the victory! =D

What I fail at

I’m bad at slides. I usually fell off of them but I guess I’m starting to get better at them. The hardest was the second Princess’ slide which needs to be done underneath 21 seconds. At first my best was 21.2 and 21.1 XD Then, after going for it quite a few times, I eventually managed to get 20.6. =D

Second thing I fail is jumping from wall to wall. -.-‘ It took quite a while in Hazy Maze to get that one star and even longer in Wet Dry World since the needed walls were even further off from each other. x.x Not to mention the Ghost Manor. Especially with time ticking off while having the vanishing cap on. Yet, as they say, practice makes perfect. =) And little by little I’ve gotten better but I still fail often enough. ^^;

Third part’s flying. I just can’t get Mario to hit the coins. =/ Each time I think I’m on right road, he just goes and avoids the coin in the last moment. >.< Especially hard in Shifting Sand Land which 8 red coins star I’m yet to get.

So, I think that’s all for the game. =) The courses are usually quick and easy but some do need time, practice and little bit of luck. It even feels like I’ve done much more progress in the game than in any of other games (like Spyro) in short time.

Maybe, hopefully, I’ll get back to here sometime during this year and back into writing my Zelda fanfics to end but we’ll see. I’m still not too happy of the outlook of DeviantArt but can’t help it.

Not to mention that last year was odd to put it nice. Yet, I do hope everyone’s safe and sound and gotten through it without too much of trouble or danger.

Until next time! ^.^
