Linktober, Day 27: Outfit

    Couple of days later Link and Zelda had been called to Hateno. Neither knew fully what it was about but the request had sounded urgent. The duo rode to the small town in a quick canter while having left early to arrive in good time.

    “Princess. Hero. This way.” A lady called and bowed before them after they came down from their horses. “My husband will take Your horses to the ranch.” She offered as a man came out from the house behind her.

    “What is the matter?” Zelda inquired while glancing once around and seeing no actual trouble. In fact, the road to the town had been surprisingly free of monsters. Even Link felt bit uncertain of reason for such quick coming.

    “I… Need Your help with something…” The woman started bit nervously and chuckled shortly. She led the duo into a room filled with different fabrics and half-finished clothes. “Um…” She started and blushed while feeling bit fearful of what she was going to request of the duo.

    Link frowned as he looked around the room. He didn’t see any of reason for him to be there besides being the princess’ personal guard. Yet, he didn’t like the grin that slowly crept to Zelda’s lips. “I have a feeling I have understood your request, Madam.” She told and her grin turned into smirk as she moved her gaze from the clothes into the Hero.

    Link gulped and backed off by a step. He still didn’t know what was going on but he felt uncertain and bit fearful. The Hateno woman’s surprise had turned into delighted look. And suddenly Zelda took out her most pleading look she could muster. “Will you, please, try the outfits in this room and let us see how they fit?” The princess almost begged and Link gulped. He glanced around the room before returning his gaze back into the women in front of him.

    The Hero sighed heavily in defeat and nodded. He wasn’t able to get away from this one no matter how he’d try. He would only end up hurting both of the women and losing even bigger part of his reputation. The only way to uphold the peace and his way of helping everyone would be by humiliating himself. “Alright. I’ll do it.” He finally replied as confidently as he could even though it was as far as it could be from how he was feeling.

    “Excellent!” Zelda half shouted and giggled. She turned to the woman with a beaming smile. “What shall be the first outfit for him?” The princess inquired while feeling fully excited about watching the fashion show.

    The woman walked to the finished works of her and searched for a while. Eventually she found the first attire of clothes. “This is something I’ve worked with the Sheikahs. Their knowledge and my sewing skills.” She told and gave the clothes to Link. “The changing area’s there.” She continued and pointed towards a corner which was separated by a dark curtain.

    Link held in the sigh and simply nodded before already going to change. Zelda and the woman waited excitedly for him to return with the greyish blue clothes on. The Hero, much to his slight surprise, found a small note with the clothes. It mainly consisted of how to put his hair to fulfil the look.

    When he finally came out, the clothes were covering him almost fully. He wasn’t certain he liked the fact of being almost bare foot with just the fabric protecting his feet. The fabric in front of his nose and mouth made it bit hard to breathe but he was slowly getting used to it. The hardest part had been in his lower arms which was filled with bandages. Yet, he couldn’t deny of liking the light colored scarf.

    The duo gasped when they saw the Hero. “It looks perfect.” The Hateno woman half whispered and Zelda simply nodded. They showed for Link to make a full circle to show the clothes fully.

    “Do you have anything, um…. More showing?” The princess half whispered without even trying to deny Link from hearing her. The Hateno woman blinked in surprise but nodded. She stood up and went to search for the next outfit.

    Link bit frowned at how little of clothes he was given this time. It was more like few pieces of armor and leg wear. Yet, he simply shrugged it off and went to change. When he got the Sheikah clothes off and started to sort out the new ones, he frowned again. It certainly wasn’t more than shoulder, arm and leg protection. His torso was pretty much fully uncovered. And he needed to change his hair into something of a tuft right on top of his head. Another thing he wasn’t really happy of was the collar. Yet, he had to admit he was happy of the green color of the armor set.

    “It’s made for Male Gerudos.” The woman told with a grin and wink when Link was coming out of the changing area. Zelda nodded and almost smirked. Yet, when they got the Hero into their sight, their mouths fell open. Link turned his gaze off while fighting back against the slight blush. He turned around slowly and let them enjoy of the sight.

    “I approve…” The princess whispered while checking her personal Knight from head to toes. The woman next to her simply nodded. “Though… Anything to show his legs?” She inquired with a mischievous grin.

    The Hateno woman nodded and went to search for the third outfit of the day. Link stayed silent while keeping his gaze off of the duo. “This is simply something for fierceness.” The woman told and finally turned around with the next outfit.

    Link was given the next clothes that, much to his dislike, held a skull of a Lynel. He returned to the changing area and carefully took off the Male Gerudo clothes. He was grateful of putting his hair back into the normal ponytail. As he checked the new clothes, he frowned at the small bottle of dark violet color. He searched for a small note and held back the almost annoyed whine. He took a deep breath and changed the clothes before making the markings instructed in the piece of paper.

    The princess and the Hateno woman gasped before smiling widely. Link was simply grateful they weren’t drooling at what they were seeing. The clothes left lot of his skin free. The arms were only covered for protection and his shield arm’s armor had bone spikes. His legs had less of cover than in the Sheikah armor but both left him almost barefooted in there. This current outfit even more so as it didn’t protect his toes at all. Yet, he couldn’t deny how warm the lower part of his legs felt. Yet, the strap around the upper left leg didn’t feel nice at all. And the clothes around his private area felt too little for his current comfort. Not to mention about the markings he had to do. It certainly hadn’t been easy to make that hand mark into his stomach.

    “Would you like to be the seamstress for the castle?” Zelda inquired when Link finally got to change back to his own clothes after the clothes with Lynel head. The woman felt fully uncertain and she turned her gaze off.

    “I… I am fully honored of the offer, Your Highness…” She started and sighed heavily while closing her eyes. “Yet, I have to decline.” The woman finally told and returned her gaze into the princess. “I enjoy of doing a request now and then but… I’d rather work with my own creations. I hope You understand, Your Highness.”

    Zelda sighed a bit but nodded. “I understand fully.” She replied and stood up when Link finally came back with his own clothes on. He didn’t show how annoyed he was of the thought of needing to wash up quite a few times to get the markings off. Not to mention of his clothes. “We shall see you around again, Madam.” The princess said as the Hateno woman led them back to the door.
