10. Breathe

Breathe

    Such a short word but with so much of strength

    I’ve screamed, I've begged, I've prayed and I've stated it out

    So many times with so many situations

    And once again I say it to you:

    Breathe

    I’ve laughed and grinned

    I’ve shook my head as I hit you in the back

    Was it the words or the food you were choking on?

    It doesn’t matter as I simply told you to:

    Breathe

    I’ve freaked out and felt the cold fear

    I’ve done everything and anything to take that invading liquid out of you

    I don’t know how it happened, how you ended up being too long submerged

    I simply begged and prayed:

    Breathe

    I’ve panicked and searched for anything to save your life

    Those wounds so deep and dangerous

    The monsters and beasts that had surrounded us before I could save you

    I screamed and cried:

    Breathe

    And now, here on this bed

    Watching you struggle for every intake of air

    I can’t do anything else than stay by you

    And wish for things to work out for the best as I whisper to you

    Breathe
